Levi's New Wheels

Levi has a new set of wheels to get around in. We needed a lighter stroller that we could keep in the car so we picked up a Jeep Wrangler Umbrella stroller. I think he likes it because he was fussing until I put him in the stroller and he quieted down. Right now he is asleep in it.

Easter and Celebrations

We had a good Easter. We made it to Utah and stayed at a hotel. We were going to take Levi swimming for the first time but that didn't happen. We ended up visiting my grandparents for too long and then decided to watch a movie at Wendy's house. Levi stayed up the entire time but then so did Ashton. They sure were slap happy sleepy boys by the time the movie got over.

We celebrated Ashton's first birthday on Saturday even though his birthday wasn't for a few days. The party was fun and Matt just watched me as I played the games. I did give some of my tikens to Michael so that he could finish playing his game. It would have been fun if we could have played miniature golf or laser tag but I had fun. It was very noisy though. It was fun to see my family again.

The other celebration was our 2nd Anniversary. I found someone to watch Levi while Matt and I had a good night out. We did dinner and a movie. Matt sat through the chic flick "27 Dresses" I enjoyed it and he says it was OK. Matt surprised me with a dozen roses when he got home from work. They are beautiful and they smell heavenly.

Happy St Patricks Day

Yes I know it was a while ago but I'm behind on my posts. Levi wore a new green shirt that said Kiss Me I'm Irish. I took a video of him talking that morning but I can't seem to get videos on here yet. I'm working on it.

Eating Apples

I let Levi have his first taste of a real apple. He really wasn't sure what to do with the mesh feeder but he sure got mad when I tried to help him do it. He can be very stubborn sometimes.

Various things

Well our family went to stay at my parents house for the weekend and we really enjoyed visiting them. There was 4 feet of snow up there still and we took a picture of the stop sign just down the street from their house. Levi was a pill because he was sick but he got to see his grandparents.

We just wanted to wish my dad a happy birthday. I know that it was on the 15th but better late than never right? Besides it isn't everyday that someone turns the big 60.

Levi learned a new trick and I got it on camera. Here it is. He's fishy kissing if you can't tell. Sorry about the poor quality of picture I took it with my cell phone.

Levi is now 7 months old and he went to the Dr today for his 6 month appointment and vaccinations. He now weighs 17 lbs 15.5oz and is 27. in. Alright! he finally doubled his birth weight! The new picture will be posted as soon as I figure out how to get the pictures from my camcorder onto the computer.

One more thing, Matt and I got a camcorder so now I can put some videos of Levi on here. It also works as a camera so My pictures should be better quality from now on - at least I hope they do.

Random thoughts

Can it really be March already? I get so caught up in the business of life that I forget when the months change. Ok so I really don't but I sure feel like it. We have been sick with colds the past few weeks. It seems like Matt gets sick first and then Levi gets it and I get it last.

Here's a thought for you: There is no chance, no fate, no destiny that can circumvent, or hinder, or control the firm resolve of a determined soul. I don't remember off the top of my head who that one was from. My dad always said that I was his most stubborn child and I agree that I am stubborn but I heard another quote that helps me. "Firmness is that great quality in ourselves that others view as stubbornness." So I'm not stubborn I'm just firm when I want to be.

Levi has been on the move for a while but it is the reach to the farthest point on one side and then turn onto his other side and reach with his arm to get him from one place to the other. Yesterday, Matt was in charge while I ran down to the laundry room and when I got back upstairs and opened the door Matt started yelling for me to stop. Levi was in the middle of the living room when I left and he was in front of the door when I got back.

As soon as Levi gets into his bumbo he leans to the side or forward to reach for toys.
