Updates

We had a very good New Year's Eve party with some of our ward. We played games and ate snacks until after midnight while the kids played with each other. Reah was so tired but there was way too much going on that she couldn't fall asleep. Both kids were awake to ring in the new year with us LOL.

Levi has moved on from singing the ABC's and telling me every single letter he sees to trying to write his letters. He continues to amaze me. He knows how to write the letters I, H, T, C, O, E, F, and he has been working on M and D. He could sit for an hour with his magna doodle writing letters. He also loves to jump on my bed while saying "No monkeys jump on Mommy's bed" Matt and I have tried to convince him that he needs to jump on his bed but he can't jump as far on his bed.

Reah got another tooth just after New Year's Day so she now has 6 teeth. That doesn't stop her from eating everything we eat. I'm trying to wean her off of the bottle a little at a time. She does say bottle and rolls her tongue when she says it - it's so cute. She also says "Levi, no, daddy, mama, stinky, and I swear she said "uh-oh spaghetti O's" the past 2 days. She loves playing Patty cake and Peek-a-boo and where is your nose. She has started saying stinky and patting her diaper and waving her hand in front of her nose when she has had a messy diaper.

The kids are just growing up too fast. I'm now 14 weeks and I'm finally feeling better and I can eat again. I have my next Dr appointment next week and hopefully schedule the ultrasound then to see what I'm going to have. I'm starting to show just a little bit too. I'm definitely not in maternity clothes yet like I was when I was pregnant with Reah. Hopefully I can still fit into the 1 pair of jeans for a few more weeks.

Christmas

Santa came to our house and left a farm and stroller! Yes I know there are no ornaments on my tree the kids didn't think they needed them so everything withing reach was thrown around the house.

The Clipo table, barn, and teapot were the hits! Oh notice the jammie pants (I spent all day Christmas Eve sewing them up I wanted to do flannel but the pattern I used turned out really bad so they are fleece and should work great as diaper covers too!)

Levi lining up his new cars - very typical of him LOL

Drinking "hot chocolate and soup" from the mugs.

This Christmas we spent at home but we had lots of time for the kids to play with some cousins and Matt and his brother enjoyed the new wii they got and we brought some of our games.

Christmas Eve we went over to Matt's brother's house after dinner and we let the kids play for a little while but then we had a very nice lesson on how we couldn't have Christmas without having Easter also and the true meaning of Christmas. Scriptures were read in the Old Testament (Isaiah) and in the Book of Mormon (1 Nephi) and of course the New Testament (Luke 2). There were even some Messiah songs mixed in there and it was a great reminder of Jesus Christ and all that he has done for us.

Christmas was small but there were still presents (I don't know what I would have done if my parents hadn't helped us out a little). After opening presents we let Reah take a nap and then headed over to Matt's brother's again. I felt like all I did was try to keep the kids out of the Christmas tree LOL. One ornament didn't survive Levi throwing it and squeezing it in his hand. Our ornaments are shatterproof so he wasn't used to the glass (breakable) ornaments.

Videos of the kids

I swear these are at least 2 months old but they are cute anyway. I really hope these work anyway. Levi was being a little silly and didn't really want to sing his ABC's so he kind of shouted them instead. And some of Reah's first steps.

Reah's Birthday Party

We were at my brother's house for the weekend after Reah's birthday and had a little party for her while we were there. My nephews (twins) were willing to share their birthday with Reah but they are 11 now so I guess it wasn't as big of a deal. Reah had her own little cake and everyone else had cupcakes.

She liked the chocolate frosting and dug in to that.

When she got to the cake she just picked off little tiny pieces and put them very daintily in her mouth :)

My camera batteries were not charged so we didn't get the end of the cake picture. She was so tired and started rubbing frosting into her eyes so I just washed her off instead of getting that last picture. We had a lot of fun that weekend.
