Thoughts

I have been such a slacker about writing on this blog lately. I feel like part of me has been missing - my sanity part :) Just kidding. I've just been really busy with school and taking care of Levi lately. But I thought I'd just update a little on our life.

Levi is signing more now. He signs "milk" and "bird" but usually he interchanges them. He will sign milk and then bird. It is funny to see him learning new things. Levi and I were sitting outside on the front porch when he looked up and saw a bird flying overhead squawking (it was a crow). So I signed bird and he repeated it. So now when he looks out the window and I ask him what he sees he always signs bird even if there isn't a bird out there at the time.

He has also learned some new words in the past 2 weeks. When he gives me something - anything - I always say thank you so now he says thank you when he gives me something. Plus when we were visiting my parents he started saying "cat" and meowing at my parents cat. Also that same weekend he started saying that or "dat" as he says it and pointing at everything.

Oh my parents gave Levi a drum with other musical instruments inside it (a xylophone, jingle bells, tambourine, and maracas) for his birthday. His new favorite toy are the drumsticks. He drums on everything. I can't really explain what he does with the drumsticks and other toys so I'll have to see if I can get it on video and show you what he does.

I promise more pictures later. I'm just too tired right now to get them off my camera.
