15 months old

I can't believe my baby is 15 months old already!! Matt and I were reminiscing the other day about how much Levi has changed and how much we really hope his baby sister isn't as hard of a baby as Levi was. We talked about all the pictures we have of him crying and how every Saturday night without fail Levi would stay up all night and I would wake Matt up in tears because I was so tired I couldn't handle him anymore. Matt would take him and he always put him to sleep - that made me crazy at the time because I wished he'd sleep on my shift. Anyway he became a happy baby around 4 or 5 months when he could move around more.

Levi is now doing lots of new things. This month he:
~ learned how to walk
~ started saying "thank you" at the right time
~ said baby for the first time while patting my stomach
~ started waving and saying "hi" and "bye-bye"
~ learned how to open his diaper pail and get diapers out :( but he loves to throw away his dirty diapers in the garbage
~ started just this last week to play patty cake on his own
~ gets into all my kitchen drawers and cupboards
~ started climbing on things - the hearth, the couch, boxes, he has even tried climbing up my bookcase.

He loves shoes and is always trying to put them on by himself. I always find shoes in my bookcase along with his sippy cup.

I gave Levi his first haircut last Friday night. He really needed it done he had a mullet. It seems like when I cut his hair, I cut off all of the dark hair so now he's mostly dirty blonde/really light brown.
Before the haircut (his hair curled to the side so it isn't' very noticeable in this picture):

After the haircut:

Tomorrow is his 15 month Well Child Checkup with the Dr so I'll post how big he is then.

Oh, the first haircut is always so sad. It makes them look so grown up. He is learning so much. I think it's great you wrote all that stuff down, because next month there will be so much more new that you won't remember what he did this month.

about half of the things I wanted to write down were things he gets into but I decided not to write all those things.
