My Crazy Pregnancy Cravings

Matt and I went to Costco on Saturday. We were only going to get bread and rolls and then eat lunch at the deli restaurant inside. While we were there we saw the turkeys and I was telling Matt how much I missed making the turkey for just us this year. Just letting you know, I have cooked a turkey for dinner the Sunday before Thanksgiving since Matt and I were dating. Anyway we decided to get a turkey and cook it the next day. We finished our shopping and then I had my hotdog complete with ketchup, Dijon mustard (for those of you who know me I hate mustard of any kind), relish, and to top it off sourkraut. Yummy. That was what I was craving. Levi will even eat the sourkraut sometimes and not make a face.

Anyway we went to another store to get Levi's milk and Matt decided that I needed to find a recipe and make some candied yams to go with our turkey dinner. That night I made bread for the stuffing because you can't have stuffing with regular bread :) Yesterday I got up pretty early to get the stuffing ready while Matt slept in. I took it easy still - I sat on the couch with my feet up and broke up my bread and tried to keep a very curious Levi out of the bowl. I finished the stuffing but waited until I had Matt's help to stuff the turkey - I could barely turn the darn bird over - it was over 20 lbs. Anyway Matt helped me get it stuffed and we got it into the oven before we left for church. We got home and I had Matt cut up the yams while I put my swollen feet up. We had a great dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes (I skimped on these this time and we made them from flakes instead of real potatoes), stuffing, homemade gravy, and for dessert becasue it wasn't quite done the candied yams.

I woke up this morning and all I wanted to eat was stuffing but I had a turkey sandwich too - for breakfast!
