Catching up

Life is busy but I really should take time to write about my kiddos more often. I started this as more of a journal the my kids can read when they are older and can see when they did this or that just like the journal my mom kept when I was growing up.

Levi is still loving letters and is sounding out words and trying to spell them. His favorite blankie is spelled "BLACE" and he is starting to get a friend or two from playgroup. His best friend is still his sister, Reah. He loves to play with cars and my nephew, Logan, just gave him a bunch of dinosaurs. He loves Toy Story and Cars and we watch either one of them once a day it seems. I am still trying to potty train him and it is frustrating to me because I know he can do it he is just interested in other things.

Reah is such a character. She has been telling me lately that she is a princess. She loves choosing her own clothes and often wears 2 different shoes (one red and one blue). She is all about wearing skirts and if I let her she would wear one every single day. It is still cold here so I make her pick tights or leggings to go under the skirt. Today she almost matched, she wore a pink shirt with flowers all over it and a pink striped leggings and a bright green skirt complete with the one red one blue shoes. She loves to play with her babies and change their diapers. I did have to take away the disposable wipes (or try to keep them out of her reach) when she had a huge pile for her baby's "stinky" I gave her a smaller cloth wipe that I had made. She also loves to play with Levi and usually ends up playing cars with him because that is what he wants. Reah is a great big sister and loves Kendra a lot (almost too much sometimes).

Kendra is now 9 months old (she will be 10 months soon) and is just a tiny thing. She was weighed last week and is only 15lbs even. She does love her food and eats a lot but it all must go to energy because she is a mover. She has been crawling for a while and is pulling herself up on everything. She figured out how to climb stairs and can do the 2 in the house. I swear I should call her hoover because I can't keep her out from under the table scrounging for food. I did the same thing when I was little so I guess The "Mother's Curse" - and in my case the "Father's Curse" too - is definitely on my head. Where the mom says, "I hope you have a child that acts just like you when you grow up." Kendra has had her 2 bottom teeth since she was 5 months old and for the past 2 months she has had all her gums swollen. Well, she finally got her top 2 teeth in the past 3 weeks. She also recently started babbling and today it was "dadadada" in the car. She is still cuddly when she is tired but she loves to play with toys and eat anything she finds. Today for the first time she started "dancing" and bobbing her head and body to music.
